From Mount Cynthus or woman from Kynthos
Sindia is a rare variant of Cynthia, which originates from the Greek name Kynthia. It refers to the moon goddess Artemis, who was said to be born on Mount Cynthus on the island of Delos. While the 'S' spelling is uncommon, it offers a softer, more modern phonetic appeal than the traditional 'C' version.
