Alydia is a rare variant of Alidia or Elidia, likely derived from the Germanic name Adelaide. It carries the meaning of nobility and high status. It may also be used as a creative blend of Al- names and the Greek Lydia, which refers to a person from the region of Lydia in Asia Minor.
