Idyllic place or place of plenty
Derived from the Mi'kmaq word 'akadie' meaning 'place of abundance,' it was later influenced by the Greek 'Arcadia,' referring to a utopian wilderness. It is most famously associated with the historical region in North America and the stunning national park in Maine.
