Lime tree; linden tree; beautiful
Lyndy is a diminutive form of names ending in -linda or -lynn, such as Belinda or Linda. It ultimately derives from the Germanic word for the linden tree, which was often associated with protection and community. In some contexts, it is also linked to the Spanish word for beautiful.
