Linden tree; lime tree
Lyndie is a diminutive form of names like Lynda or Melinda, ultimately derived from the Germanic word for the linden tree. In European folklore, the linden tree was associated with peace and justice, and its wood was often used for shields. It has evolved into a standalone name that feels both botanical and approachable.
