Supplanter or holder of the heel
Yaqoob is the Arabic form of the Hebrew name Jacob. In religious tradition, it refers to the Prophet Yaqub, known for his strength of faith and as the father of the twelve tribes of Israel. The name etymologically refers to the biblical story of being born holding his brother's heel.
