Supplanter
A variation of the Hebrew name Jacob, meaning 'to follow' or 'to supplant'. In the Old Testament, Jacob was the son of Isaac and Rebecca and the twin brother of Esau. This spelling is particularly common in Germany, Scandinavia, and Central Europe.
