Combination of Tasha and Shauna
A modern American creation, Tashauna is a blend of the Russian-derived Tasha (meaning 'birthday') and the Irish-derived Shauna (meaning 'God is gracious'). It emerged in the late 20th century as part of a trend of creating unique rhythmic names within African American communities.
