Enclave or colleague
A biblical name with Hebrew roots, Heber is traditionally interpreted as meaning 'enclave', 'colleague', or 'comrade'. In the Old Testament, it is the name of several figures, most notably the husband of Jael and a descendant of Asher. It also has separate historical roots in Ireland as an anglicized form of the Gaelic name Éibhear.
