Gray battle-maid or dark battle
Grisell is a rare variant of Griselda, a name of Germanic origin. It combines the elements 'gris' (gray) and 'hild' (battle), traditionally interpreted as a steadfast or patient warrior. The name gained literary fame through the 'Patient Griselda' folklore, appearing in works by Boccaccio and Chaucer.
