Place of strong trees
In the Old Testament, Elim was an oasis where the Israelites camped after their exodus from Egypt. It was described as having twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees, symbolizing refreshment and abundance. The name is derived from the Hebrew word for 'terebinths' or 'mighty trees'.
