In the Hebrew Bible, Noa was one of the five daughters of Zelophehad who successfully argued for their right to inherit their father's land. While it sounds identical to the masculine Noah, it comes from a distinct Hebrew root meaning 'movement'. It has become a stylish, minimalist choice in both Israel and Western countries.
