Chasta is a modern American variation of the name Chastity, which is derived from the Latin word 'castus'. It emerged as a shorter, more contemporary-sounding alternative to the traditional virtue name during the late 20th century. While it shares the same moral connotations of purity and virtue, it is significantly rarer than its root name.
