Zynia is a modern variation of the botanical name Zinnia, which was named after the German botanist Johann Gottfried Zinn. While Zinnia is the standard floral spelling, the Zynia variant offers a more unique, phonetic flair. It represents the vibrant, long-lasting qualities of the garden flower.
