Exaltation or dwelling of honor
Derived from the Hebrew name Zevulun, it likely stems from the root 'zabal', meaning to dwell or honor. In the Old Testament, Zebulun was the tenth son of Jacob and the founder of one of the twelve tribes of Israel. The name saw moderate use among American Puritans and has remained a rare, distinctive biblical choice ever since.
