Defender of the people
A modern variant of Alexandra, which is derived from the Greek name Alexandros. It combines the elements 'alexein' (to defend) and 'aner' (man/people). While Alexandra is a timeless classic, Zandra emerged as a shorter, more spirited alternative in the 20th century.
