Half moon or prince of the water
Yunuen is a name of Purepecha origin, an indigenous group from Michoacan, Mexico. It is most famously associated with Isla de Yunuén in Lake Pátzcuaro. The name carries poetic connotations related to the moon's reflection on the water or the shape of the island itself.
