Half moon or prince of the water
Yunuen is a name of Purepecha origin, an indigenous group from Michoacan, Mexico. It is most famously associated with Isla de YunuΓ©n in Lake PΓ‘tzcuaro. The name carries poetic connotations related to the moon's reflection on the water or the shape of the island itself.
