Resolute protector
A rare variant of the Germanic name William, derived from 'wil' (will or desire) and 'helm' (helmet or protection). While William became the standard English form, Willam persists as a distinct, though much less common, spelling variation. It carries the same sturdy, protective connotations as its more popular counterpart.
