A wanderer; of the Vends
Wanda is of Germanic origin, likely derived from the tribal name of the Wends, a Slavic people who lived in eastern Germany. In Polish legend, Princess Wanda was a beloved queen who sacrificed herself to save her people. It gained widespread popularity in the English-speaking world during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
