Our Revered Mother
Derived from the Nahuatl words 'to' (our), 'nan' (mother), and the honorific suffix 'tzin'. It was a title used for Aztec mother goddesses, particularly those associated with the earth and fertility, and later became linked with the Virgin of Guadalupe.
