Fairy queen or worthy of praise
Thania is often considered a shortened form of Stephania, meaning 'crown' or 'garland,' or a variant of Tania, which is a Russian diminutive of Tatiana. In the Russian context, it relates to the legendary King of the Sabines, Titus Tatius. It is also sometimes associated with the Arabic word for 'praise' or 'second.'
