Fairy queen or daughter of the morning
Taneya is a modern variation of Tanya or Tania, which are Russian diminutives of Tatiana. The name is historically linked to the Sabine king Titus Tatius and has come to be associated with the concept of a fairy queen in literary contexts. In some modern interpretations, it is also linked to the Swahili word for 'daughter of the morning'.
