Admired or worthy of admiration
Derived from the Occitan name Mirèio, which was created by the poet Frédéric Mistral. It is often associated with the Latin word 'mirari', meaning to admire or wonder at. In Spanish-speaking cultures, it is also sometimes linked to the title 'Our Lady of Mireya'.
