Orange-red clay or from the city of Siena
Siennah is a modern spelling variant of Siena or Sienna, referring to the Tuscan city and the distinct reddish-brown earth pigment produced there during the Renaissance. The name evokes the warm, sun-drenched landscapes of Italy. The additional 'h' at the end is a contemporary stylistic choice often used to soften the name's appearance.
