Easterner or beloved
Sherika is a modern name with dual roots. It is often considered a variant of the Arabic name Sharika, meaning 'easterner' or 'companion', but it is also frequently used as a creative elaboration of the name Sherry, which derives from the French 'chérie' meaning 'beloved'.
