Bringing victory
Veronika is the Latinate form of Berenice, a Macedonian name derived from the Greek elements 'phero' (to bring) and 'nike' (victory). It later became associated with the Latin phrase 'vera icon', meaning 'true image', due to the legend of Saint Veronica.
