Righteousness of the faith
Derived from the Arabic name Salah ad-Din, it is composed of the elements 'salah' meaning righteousness or goodness and 'din' meaning religion or faith. It is most famously associated with the 12th-century Sultan who led the Muslim military campaign against the Crusader states.
