Nobility of faith
Derived from the Arabic name Ala al-Din, it is composed of the elements 'ala' meaning 'nobility' or 'excellence' and 'din' meaning 'religion' or 'faith'. It is most famously associated with the Middle Eastern folk tale of a young man who finds a magical lamp.
