A Sabine man
Derived from the Latin 'Sabinus', this name refers to the Sabines, an ancient Italic tribe that lived in the central Apennine Mountains. According to Roman legend, the Sabines were eventually integrated into the Roman population after the famous 'Rape of the Sabine Women'.
