Old man or wine
Derived from the Aramaic word 'saba', meaning 'old man' or 'grandfather'. It is also associated with the Greek 'sabbas', which can refer to wine or the Sabbath. The name was popularized by Saint Sabas the Sanctified, a highly influential monk in early Christianity.
