Rose; gentle horse
A French diminutive form of Rosaline, which originally combined the Germanic elements 'hros' (horse) and 'lind' (soft, tender). In modern usage, it is almost exclusively associated with the Latin 'rosa' and the rose flower. It offers a more elaborate, elegant alternative to the classic Rose.
About 6 girls were named Roselyne in 2025.
