Gentle horse or beautiful rose
A modern elaboration of Rosalind or Rose, combining the Germanic elements for 'horse' and 'soft' with the popular 'lyn' suffix. While historically rooted in the name Rosalind, it is often associated by modern parents with the Latin 'rosa' for the flower. The double 'n' and terminal 'e' add a French-inspired flair to the spelling.
