Famous wolf
Derived from the Old High German name Hrolf, which is a contraction of Hrodulf. It combines the elements 'hrod' meaning fame and 'wulf' meaning wolf. It was a common name among Germanic tribes and Vikings, later introduced to other parts of Europe.
