Qusay is an ancient Arabic name derived from the word 'qasi', which means distant or far. In Islamic history, it is a significant name as Qusay ibn Kilab was a prominent ancestor of the Prophet Muhammad and is credited with consolidating the Quraysh tribe in Mecca.
