Battle maid or warrior woman
Nilda is a shortened form of the Germanic name Brunhilda or Casilda. It carries the strong connotation of a female warrior or protector, common in medieval European nomenclature. While it has roots in Old High German, it gained significant popularity in Spanish and Italian speaking cultures.
