Mother or lady
In various Chinese dialects, particularly Mandarin, Niang is a term used to refer to a mother, an aunt, or a young woman of respect. It is often used as a respectful honorific or a term of endearment within a family structure. In some contexts, it can also refer to a goddess or a female deity in folk religion.
