An aromatic plant or ointment; spikenard
Derived from the Greek word 'nardos', it refers to the spikenard plant, which was used in ancient times to create a precious, fragrant ointment. In biblical contexts, it is associated with the costly perfume used to anoint Jesus. It remains a popular and elegant choice in Ethiopia and Eritrea.
