Pearl
Marjory is a medieval Scottish variant of Marjorie, which itself is a derivative of Margaret. The name ultimately traces back to the Greek word margarites, meaning pearl. It was a common form in Scotland for centuries before being largely superseded by the 'ie' spelling.
