Queen or messenger
Maleka is a name with dual roots. In Arabic, it is the feminine form of Malik, meaning 'queen'. In its Hawaiian usage, it is the transliteration of the Greek name Martha, often interpreted as 'lady', or occasionally linked to the word for 'messenger'.
