Ornament or middle land
In the Hebrew Bible, Madai is a son of Japheth and the ancestor of the Medes. The name is often interpreted as meaning 'ornament' or 'garment' in Hebrew, though it is also associated with the geographical region of Media. While historically masculine in biblical texts, it has emerged as a rare, rhythmic choice for girls in modern times.
