Loree is a diminutive or variant of Laura, which stems from the Latin word 'laurus'. In ancient Rome, the laurel tree was a symbol of victory, honor, and poetic achievement. While it gained some traction in the mid-20th century, it remains a rare alternative to the more common Lori or Laura.
