Krithik is a modern variation of the Sanskrit name Karthik. It refers to the Hindu god of war, Murugan (also known as Kartikeya), who is the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. The name is often associated with the Pleiades star cluster, known as Krittika in Vedic astrology.
