From the round hill
Knoxx is a modern spelling variation of the Scottish surname Knox. It originally denoted someone who lived near a 'cnoc', a Gaelic word for a round-topped hill. The double-x ending is a contemporary stylistic choice intended to give the name a more edgy, graphic look.
About 70 boys were named Knoxx in 2025.
