Lord or master
Kiro is a diminutive or variant of Kiril, the Slavic form of the Greek name Cyril. It ultimately derives from the Greek word 'kyrios', meaning lord or master. While rare in the United States, it is more commonly found in Balkan countries and Egypt, where it is often used among Coptic Christians.
