Proclaimer of peace
Derived from the Slavic elements 'kazati' (to destroy or to proclaim) and 'miru' (peace). While the first element is debated, it is most commonly interpreted as one who commands or announces peace. It has long been a royal name in Poland and became established in Southern Europe through Saint Casimir.
