Joshus is a rare variant of the Hebrew name Joshua. It derives from the Hebrew name Yehoshua, which combines the elements 'Yah' (referring to God) and 'yasha' (to save). While Joshua is a perennial favorite, the 's' ending in Joshus provides a unique, slightly Latinized or archaic feel.
