Supplanter
Originally a Scottish diminutive of James, it shares the same etymological root as Jacob. It refers to the biblical story of Jacob grasping his twin brother's heel, later interpreted as taking the place of another. While historically masculine, it became a popular unisex choice in the mid-20th century.
