Supplanter; variant of Jamaica
Jameika is a modern American elaboration of the name Jamaica, which itself is derived from the Taino word 'Xaymaca' meaning 'land of wood and water'. It is also frequently used as a feminine creative variant of James, which comes from the Hebrew name Jacob, meaning 'supplanter'.
