Farmer or earth-worker
Geordi is a diminutive form of George, which originates from the Greek name Georgios. It is derived from the elements 'ge' (earth) and 'ergon' (work), traditionally referring to someone who works the land. While rare as a standalone name, it gained significant cultural recognition through science fiction in the late 20th century.
