Strawberry or forest dweller
Derived from the Scottish surname Fraser, which is believed to have originated from the French word 'fraise' meaning strawberry. It may have originally referred to a person who lived near a strawberry patch or a forest clearing. The name became prominent in Scotland through the Clan Fraser.
